The Baton Rouge Surgical Group provides affordable, high quality general surgery, endoscopy and laparoscopy services to patients of all ages. Baton Rouge Surgical Group accepts private pay patients, patients covered by general indemnity medical insurance and participates in a wide variety of managed care plans.

Edward R. Chiasson, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Edward R. Chiasson, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a graduate of Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans and earned his M.D. degree in 1977. He served a one year flexible internship at Lafayette Charity Hospital and completed his Post Graduate Residency Training in General Surgery at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in 1982. From 1983 to 1985 Dr. Chiasson served as Instructor in General Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. From 1985 to the present he has been in private practice in Baton Rouge. He is licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana.

Sidney O. Ross, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Sidney O. Ross, M.D., F.A.C.S. attended Louisiana State University Medical School - New Orleans and earned his M.D. Degree in 1972. He served a one year internship at the University of Mississippi and completed his Post Graduate Residency Training in General Surgery at Charity Hospital of New Orleans - LSU Division in 1977. From 1977 to 1992 Dr. Ross was in private practice in McComb, Mississippi. In 1992 he moved to Baton Rouge and from then to the present he has been part of the Baton Rouge Surgical Group. He is licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana and Mississippi.
